Only approved editor accounts can add books or change library data. ISBN lookup checks both ISBN-10 and ISBN-13 against Open Library and Google Books. If an edition is missing from both sources, you can add it manually and edit the metadata.
Point the back camera at the ISBN barcode, usually the EAN-13 code beginning with 978 or 979. Nothing is added until you confirm the matching book.
